I think the key thing with tomorrow is to design some activities that will enable the kids to get comfortable with each other. You don't need to focus on your course content. Focus them on what makes a successful online learner. You could also look at what sort of problems they might face and get them to develop a set of strategies to solve them.

Try some ice breaker activities (depending on how many students you have). One I can think of off hand is truths and lies, where students share three statements about themselves (one being a lie). Then the rest have to share which they think is a lie. You wouldn't spend a long time doing this, but it might be a fun way to break down some barriers.
